Mario Rodriguez is a first generation undergraduate student at Texas A&M University – San Antonio interested in southern queer voices who are children of immigrants like his own. His writing explores themes and experiences of love, overlooked history, generational trauma, confusion, healing, and grief. Lastly, his goal is to write poems with stories that allow people to feel seen and write their own stories to improve listening and comprehension skills in our communities.
